In the previous segment, you learnt how to create a survey and received the required answers to your survey questions. Now, let’s watch the next video to understand the insights we gained from this survey on people’s taste in music.

Some of the key insights and correlations, we got based on the survey, we conducted were, more than 35% of the survey respondents prefer to have free or low-cost apps with in-app ads. This is three times higher compared to respondents who either prefer in-app purchases or prefer paying for subscriptions. More than 75% of respondents believe that music affects their mood in a significant way. Also, more than 75% of respondents change their music based on their mood.

Other potential correlations that could be drawn are younger people, that is people with less than 37 each have two or more music apps installed in more than 90% of the cases. Users from affluent families, that is, families having more than one lakh income per month, prefer more expensive apps, with no ads or in-app purchases in more than 60% of instances. Based on above results, we can start building an app that has a mood-based song recommendation engine with in-app ads.
